From Clara (and Spotless, who is currently napping in a sunbeam)
If you’re a young parent right now, I see you.
Life feels… like a lot.
Groceries cost more than they should. Housing feels out of reach or just barely manageable. Childcare is a puzzle with too many missing pieces. And somewhere in between raising kind humans, holding relationships together, and figuring out who you even are anymore… the world keeps asking more of you.
Including, somehow, saving the planet.
It’s enough to make anyone want to quietly close the door, sit on the kitchen floor, and just breathe for a minute.
And you know what?
That’s okay.
You Already Care. That Counts.
You don’t need another lecture about Earth Day.
You already care. You care every time you choose what’s safe for your kids. Every time you rinse a bottle to recycle it. Every time you pause and wonder, Is there a better way to do this?
The problem isn’t your heart.
It’s your bandwidth.
So this Earth Day, I want to offer something different.
Not more pressure.
Less.
Let the earth hold you.
Earth Day Can Be a Place to Exhale
Earth Day isn’t meant to be another responsibility on your list.
It can be a place to land.
Local parks, little community events, school gatherings—these aren’t about being perfect. They’re about being together. Kids running around. Dogs (like Spotless) making new friends. Someone handing you a cup of coffee while you talk to another parent who also looks just a little bit tired.
You don’t have to organize it. You don’t have to lead it.
Just show up.
Let Earth Day hold you for an hour or two.
Let your kids see that caring for the planet doesn’t have to feel heavy—it can feel like connection.
Small Shifts Are Enough
There’s a quiet truth I’ve learned over time:
Big change doesn’t come from big, exhausting overhauls.
It comes from small things that actually stick.
Things that make your life easier, not harder.
That’s why I built our Clean Home Kit the way I did.
Not to impress anyone. Not to be trendy.
But to solve real problems for families like yours.
One simple system instead of a cabinet full of products
A concentrate that stretches your dollar (because everything else is expensive enough)
Safe for your kids, your pets, your food, your home
Refillable, so you’re not constantly buying and tossing plastic
It’s not about being “perfectly green.”
It’s about finding one place in your life where things feel… handled.
This Earth Day, Be Gentle With Yourself
If all you do this Earth Day is take your kids outside, breathe in some fresh air, and remind yourself that you’re doing your best—
That’s enough.
If you find a small way to simplify your home and lighten your load—
That’s more than enough.
And if you happen to meet a few kind people along the way…
Well, that’s what this was always supposed to be about.
From my home to yours,
with a little help from Spotless (who has now rolled onto his back),
Happy Earth Day.
—Clara

A Clean Home Is a Kind of Calm
When everything else feels uncertain, a clean space can give you something steady.
Not spotless-for-show. Not magazine-perfect.
Just… peaceful.
Counters you can wipe without worry. Floors where your kids can play. A home that smells like cherry, lemon, or orange instead of stress.
That kind of environment doesn’t just help the planet.
It helps you.
And you deserve that.
